Best Site and Infrastructure Monitoring Solutions for Agencies

I recently had to do some research to brush up on some of the latest infrastructure monitoring solutions. Thought I would take what I know and what I learned and share a little list.

Ultimately, the best solution for an agency depends on a few things, budget, technical expertise and the specific requirements and use cases of the agency. These are some of the more popular solutions broken down by type.

It’s important to evaluate the features and pricing of each solution to determine which ones fit your agency’s needs and budget. I also recommend conducting a thorough evaluation of the tools and testing them before making a final decision.

There are also a few all-in-one solutions that can provide monitoring and management for various aspects of IT operations, including uptime monitoring, security auditing and performance monitoring. Some popular all-in-one solutions include:

  • Datadog is a cloud-based monitoring and analytics platform that provides real-time visibility into the performance of applications, infrastructure and logs. It is designed to be a comprehensive solution for modern, cloud-based environments and provides features such as application performance monitoring, log management and security analysis.
  • New Relic is a cloud-based platform for monitoring and managing the performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure. It provides features such as application performance monitoring, error tracking and browser monitoring. New Relic also offers a range of integrations with cloud platforms, including AWS and Google Cloud.
  • SolarWinds is a comprehensive IT management solution that provides a range of tools for monitoring and managing IT infrastructure, including network and server performance, security and log management. It also provides a range of tools for managing and monitoring cloud-based environments, including AWS and Azure.

While these all-in-one solutions offer a broad range of features, they may not be the best fit for every organization’s specific needs. Be sure to look at how some of these services could be partitioned to service different clients with different needs. Also, keep an eye on integrations for easier connectivity between platforms rather than having to develop custom integration pipelines that would potentially need their own monitoring services in place to ensure reliability.
